She advised she had the opportunity to speak to Christine Graham MSP who showed an interest in our work. This had been followed up by an email giving Christine more background on home safety. It was decided to invite Cherry to a future meeting to get a better understanding of the projects she is undertaking and see if there are was that we can work together to our mutual benefit.

Bill reported that he still had 1000 posters left. Jim France reported that the SAPC Home Safety Committee were impressed by the poster and gave suggestions for further distribution. Bill suggested that the poster could be sent to MP’s and the first minister at the Scottish Parliament.
6.2 Home Safety Year 2010. There has been no update on the approach to Ikea Edinburgh hosting a launch of Home safety Year 2010 (following a negative response from Ikea Glasgow). Discussion followed and it was suggested that we possibly contact B&Q- Teresa to contact Nikkie for update before any decision made. Suggestions were made to an online or newspaper competition. Bill suggested a subgroup to carry this forward. Teresa asked that everyone bring ideas to the next meeting. For publicity we should use newspapers and local radio stations. Bill is continuing to work on the banner. Due to loss of focus in enlargement the overall design may need to be reconsidered.
