Fife Community Safety Partnership’s Fife Cares child safety service received international recognition when asked to present at the first ever European Child Home Safety Conference, held in Stratford-upon-Avon on 2nd and 3rd November.

Sam Pairman, Fife Cares Development Officer, told conference delegates from across Europe about the comprehensive service provided by Fife Cares.  She described how the service works to reduce inequalities by providing targeted interventions in Fife’s most deprived areas.

Sam attended the conference, which saw the first ever collaboration between RoSPA and the European Child Safety Alliance Eurosafe, with colleague David Birrell, the Partnership’s Home Safety Development Officer.

‘It was great to be given the opportunity to share our experience in developing Fife Cares with such a wide ranging international audience’ said Sam. ‘ The conference provided an excellent networking opportunity and allowed us to learn about work to promote child safety across Europe’.
